Hockey Body Checking
Graphic as this may be, Ottawa Senators’ #5 Sutton knocks out Pittsburgh Penguins’ Leopold with a FAIR body check.
Parents be warned. THIS is real hockey. If you don’t want your kid t play old time hockey in anything other than house leagues, then sign ’em up for football and let ’em play with men in tights.
Two minutes after seeing this hockey body check live on Versus Hockey channel, I rushed to Youtube to see if anyone posted the heavy hit yet. This video below was the world’s first capture and upload of the bone jarring hit in the 2010 NHL playoffs. Unfortunately it was posted by a Penguins fan whose beef was that his player got knocked out and therefor it must not be fair. Rest assured hockey players, THIS IS FAIR.
Nice hit, Andy!
This is a clean hit folks.
Now, I’m not condoning a player who goes out to hurt someone purposely. I also don’t condone playing half the game. Show up to the rink ready to play a solid hockey game kids. That includes body checking. Physics proves that if you run into something fast, this is what will happen. It’s not intent to injure, just plain physics.
