In this NHL 2010 Stanley Cup Final series, a 6th game was forced upon the Blackhawks and it was played in Philadelphia tonight.
With four minutes left in the game, Daniel Briere fed Scott Hartnell for the Flyers tying goal to prolong this NHL season yet again. At least for an unknown number of Stanley Cup overtime periods. Then, after four minutes of the first overtime period, Patrick Kane finished what the Blackhawks couldn’t finish in regulation time.
After a 49 year wait, Stanley will make a trip to Chicago. Antti Niemi and Patrick Kane saved the day/year/life of the Blackhawks even though the Flyers were kickin’ their butts in the first 3+ minutes of the first OT period. Thanks to Chicago goalie Antti Niemi’s many big saves, Patrick Kane got his chance to meet Stanley.
What a show! The only person in the arena who knew the 2010 playoffs were over was the shooter of the winning goal. Nobody except the 21 year old Buffalo New York hero, Patrick Kane himself, knew that his wide angle shot had scored at the 4:06 mark of riveting Stanley Cup overtime.

2010 NHL Playoffs MVP
Twenty-two year old Captain, and playoff points leader (7 goals + 21 assists), Jonathan Toews hoisted the Stanley Cup and the Conn Smythe tonight. NHL 2010 Playoff goals leader surprisingly wasn’t the Blackhawks’ Dustin Byfuglien @ 11 playoff goals, it was Mike Cammalleri of Montreal Canadiens with 13 playoff goals.

Thirty-one year old Marian Hossa has played in three consecutive Stanley Cup finals (2008, 2009, 2010) with three different teams (Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Chicago). Third time’s the charm! Hossa’s name will finally be engraved on the cup.

NHL hockey season 2010 is now over. Final score of the final game (game 6) in the 2010 Stanley Cup was 4 – 3.
I love the Blackhawks! It was so cool when they won. It was probably a once in a lifetime thing though. My mom wasn’t even alive for the last one, so it was exsiting for us Hawks fans. GO TOEWS!
Sens beat the Hawks 4-1 this season. The Cup should be OURS!
